Nothing Remains

Lying at the bottom where the sun don't shine
 Night and day just the passing of time
 Living in a haze of distress
 Trying to find myself once again
 Fighting to black out the memories
 Taken a beating like never before
 Hands of time bring only pain
 As I fight for the control, I was never able to gain
 Betrayed without a warning
 Left empty and numb
 Scarred and broken
 The past is done
 Nothingas it was before

 No sense of regret, put an end to the days of bitterness,
 had to cut the rope around my neck,
 I was suffocating on my
 surroundings, fell into a spot no one could handle
 Held out for a change that never came
 Left empty and numb
 Scarred and broken
 The past is done
 Nothing as it was before
 Nothing stays the same
 Nothing remains
 Ripped apart, inside and out, facing this world dead and buried,
 gave everything,
 lost it all in return, living and dying seem so close
