Dinner on the Floor

We had our dinner on the floor
 Like when you're young and smart and free
 When you're incurably romantic
 The way you always long to be
 In every corner we would kiss
 And every kiss could be the last
 And we were playing around like puppies do
 Our future now was past
 And we will never ever know dear
 Whatever happened to us then
 It was a day that we will never

 There was bolt out of the blue
 And it was then we realized
 If it's downhill anyway you go
