Guitar Hero

You know I've seen some that flaunt it
 and I've seen some that act like they don't want it
 I've seen a couple more waiting by the sidelines
 and a couple more trying to hard to fake shine
 I know I've seen this before
 Somebody take a chance
 Oh yeah
 It was at that junior high dance
 Valentine's Day and we were just getting old enough
 We had the urge so bad it was exploding us
 No one was bold enough to go up to the girls' side
 and grab a partner for the slow dance
 Until I tried
 After that I was addicted
 Now I always do it
 I broke the spell
 What the hell there was nothing to it
 Sometimes it's easy to win
 But sometimes I feel
 Like I haven't even begun to climb a hill
 Watching cancer turn my Dad into a skeleton
 Running pounds and sometimes going to jail again
 In debt below the poverty line I feel fine
 Because I know I'm living it all in real time
 and that's got nothing to do with a clock, killer
 Actually it pertains to how I rock iller
 My light's too bright
 I'm ahead of my time
 Moved up from washing dishes
 Now I'm cooking on the line
 Just another humble artisan
 Smarter than the average bear
 Got you shooken on my shine
 Everybody wants to be a Guitar Hero
 Everybody wants to be a Rap Star
 Don't lie
 I know you wanna be one too
 You ask me I say of course you should sing
 Don't be ashamed
 It's a natural thing
 We've all seen what happens when you suppress your urges
 End up perverted like them priests in Catholic churches
 Don't let anybody ever tell you that you can't
 Find the balance between self-promo and psychophant
 It takes all personalities to make humanity
 Even idiots like Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity
 Of course you know Stewart and Colbert
 Got my vote if they ever decide to go there
 Serious I wish they would

 We got a chance to break the corporate hold

 Keep growing the ghanja
 Exposing imposters
