On a cold dark night way back in the pines
 Big John met his woman down at the river line
 Becka knew what was coming she wasn't unaware
 For she hadn't been faithful to big John
 And he was going to take her life there
 Big John pulled out his dagger
 And held it in his right hand
 And then placed it in Becka's heart
 For loving another man
 Bloody Becka hit the ground
 She than began to cry
 And in her final dying words
 To Big John she did reply

 Big John got caught by the law man in the bordering town
 They schedule for to hang him high told the people to gather round
 Big John knew his life was over as the noose went around his head
 And in his final moments there these where the words he said

 Well they buried Big John back in the pines where the murder had took place
