Limbo

Am I deteriorating?
 Or am I transcending?
 Unconsciously stagnating
 Is it our of my control?
 Where I once stood on solid ground I would now
 drown, to be left in the quicksand some call life
 A waste of blood
 Am I forced to drown to ascend,
 to be engulfed in the gold that dyes my end
 Unknowingly I fall into the haze, and I struggle to breath
 But I won't become erased
 So I need this leap of faith to get to know myself in this limbo
 I'm holding on to the fear
 Afraid of what it could release
 Maybe it's the fear that holds me to fall freely?
 A terrain so vast and thorny
 Built on neglect and unattainable stimuli
 So am I forced to drown, to ascend in order to feel?
 I refuse to live in this maze
 Unknowingly I fall into the haze, and I struggle to breath
