To all the friends that I claim to love
 There is danger in a certain kind of isolation
 Never forget that no man is an island
 Always at risk of washing away from tidal
 Waves of selfish ambition, conceit
 And a false sense of security
 It's impossible to shore up all the shore lines in your head
 And our distance will continue to grow as you recede
 If I could learn true community
 Goes hand in hand with wisdom, then
 I would know the meaning of
 Belonging to a family
 To all the friends that I claim to love
 Alone we do little but together so much
 The sinew of a thousand fibers connect us
 Like muscle and bone in a body of blessing
 Let's use our shoulders to lift other's burdens
 And mutual support and charity to encourage
 Outdo one another with a brotherly honor
 So we can lay our hands as we kneel at the altar
 If I could learn true community
 Goes hand in hand with wisdom, then
 I would know the meaning of
 Belonging to a family

 We've got a sickness in our heads
 We can't do this on our own
 Think we deserve this loneliness
 But we are better together
 To all the friends that I claim to love
 Unity without truth is an empty promise
 A flickering light that will soon be extinguished
 For holding up "love" and "hope" with no meaning
 But we can't love Him if we don't care what He says
 And we don't know where He is if we don't go where we're led
 There's gotta be more depth than a kingdom built on sand
 Else we're no better off than when we were stranded
