Broken Toy

Little boy comes home with a brand new toy
 and so sets to playing with unstoppable joy
 So soon it's not any fun. Begging, "Mommy please, please can we go out and get a better one?"
 A bigger boy comes home with a broken toy.
 Searching for something else to destroy.
 What once was second to none now sits in the darkness covered up by all the better ones
 His heart is burning like a firebrand. Only to stay in his dreamland.
 Dreamland.
 Older boy leaves home with a brand new toy.
 With all the others that they can find to deploy.
 So soon sees it's not any fun.
 Little toy soldier children ended before they have even begun
