Talking in circles
 Spinning the wheels
 Running from the sadness
 But sadness is hot on the heels
 Bending over backwards
 Redefining haste
 Inching towards a madness
 But madness is really such a waste
 Diving in the deep end
 Coming up for air
 Feels a bit like sinking
 And sinking's just another word for despair
 Breathing underwater
 Drifting through the clouds
 Cracking under pressure
 Swimming with the sorrows that I drowned
 Fear is just a weakness
 Weakness is a fear
 Truth is all perspective
 But perspective isn't always clear
 Pain is just a smokescreen
 Patience is always wanting more
 Fate is for losers
 But destiny keeps knocking on my door
 What are you trying to say?
 Are you trying to find your way?
 Hiding in the shadows
 Darkness was all I could see
 It took some time to realize
 The shadows were hiding in me
