It's Time

I'm just walking around with something valid to say
 But I don't make a sound cause no one's talking today
 I just do what I'm told cause I'm so afraid
 To be the one who lives life in a different way
 So I just move along like a machine
 Plugged into computers and television screens
 I'm a puppet hanging from my little strings
 Doing what I'm told to do, thinking how I'm told to think
 I'm losing my mind and I'm losing my soul
 Cause I'm so paralyzed by the life that I know
 But the future relies on the way that I grow
 So it's time to stand up and let this world know

 I'm not gonna go away, no not that easily
 I'm gonna say the things others don't wanna say
 I'm gonna dance and sing and I'm gonna do it my way
 They tell me I can choose the left or choose the right
 But there's no in-between, no it's just black and white
 But I can choose the side on which I'd like to fight
 Making me believe I'm making choices in this life
 But who's to say I want either or
 When I pay attention and when I ignore
 I don't make my own decisions anymore
 No, the programmers have already decided exactly what I'm good for
