How many lives do we lose between dusk and sunrise?
 Tortured dreams keep them awake
 Reliving battle fields long past each and every day.
 There's gotta be something we can so
 besides say "You served? Thank you."
 We got work to do.

 What is the price of keeping this country safe at night?
 Do special interests have a day
 In why they put their lives on the line each day?
 Combat they see, PTSD, friend got caught by an IED
 Got to stop 22.

 Warriors bring home the fight with them
 Now turned away by government.
 To see a doctor have to wait for 2 whole years,
 By that time many of the soldiers disappear.
 If VA can't help, paperweight
 How do we demonstrate
 Support for Marines, Navy, Army and Air
 And the special forces that we'll never know were there.
 The trauma's real, anxiety's real,
 These are the things some of our soldiers feel.
 1 in 10 people without a home is a veteran
 All alone.
 I don't see how this could be ok
 Or allowed to stay this way.
 They served already, don't make them pay
 Any more for puttin' themselves in harm's way.
