I was supposed to go to LAX
 Get dropped off at Delta by a friend
 Pay a bag fee 'cause I overpacked
 And call you from the gate to tell you that
 You were supposed to laugh and you'd say, "It's fine"
 And ten hours in the air would fly right by
 Then I'd board the plane and say, "I'll see you soon"
