It's the nature of a man to search seek and find
 Something he can hold something he can feel
 It's instinctual to see even if the man is blind
 He can tell if it's right 'cuz he knows what is real
 He can travel 'round the world find himself with empty hands
 He can dabble, never settle
 In his mind he knows the truth, in his heart he feels the gold
 Guiding forces all around, inner voices clearly sound

 He goes back in the past wishing everything lasts
 Never in a rush to get to tomorrow, 'cuz he needs more time to get over sorrow
 Follows him around like an imaginary friend
 But she is not a friend, she's a foe maybe coming with a lesson to learn
 Never to burn, she sticks around, takes him through turns
 But he still yearns for a small piece of the good life, a good wife
 To make good loving through the day, through the night
 His concern is providing for the people that need him
 The people who feed him, the people who greet him
 And he never stop believing in the vision he was given at a young age
 Writing stories, turning pages, rocking stages, through the phases
 Different places, many races, when he chases in amazement
 And as the lights go down, the curtains close
 He falls to his knees overwhelmed
 'Cuz with all these people standing here
 He still feels drowned in loneliness
