Visions of Grandeur

Isolated from the heat of the day
 I'm drawn to my sacred hiding place
 Upon the nightfall to repeat all over again
 Blood under my fingernails
 From building castles in the air
 No resistance, can't stop until they're finished
 Am I suspended
 From chipping away at the gems within
 Struggle to be clear
 I hear cracking bones and feel the heartbeats
 Amplified inside my head
 In between breathing
 My sky is filled with stars
 Diamonds in the daylight
 I'm seeing stars out of the corner of my eye

 Outside myself to see larger than life
 Grand visions imagined in my mind
 Illusions of my own design

 Slivers of light slip thru the vines and perfectly align
 As my mind drifts on the verge weeping willow
 Pay attention to what hovers over
