Sadness Landed

Well, a sadness she landed today
 She crept in the bedclothes and awoke with the day
 The sunlight shone sun, but silence she won
 And the sadness slipped into the bed
 This mattress is heavy, she's winding her way back
 Into the darkness that breathes underground
 And nudging a space in all the lost dreams
 That live in this mattress, held in by the seams
