The Lizard

Playing in class
 With a lizard in a glass
 And run by the teacher foot
 The lizard get away from Ruth
 Oh Lord, the children frighten
 Wonder what go happen?
 But the teacher laughing out "kee kee kee!"
 Only watching everybody
 Hey, the lizard run up she foot and it disappear
 Everybody still searching everywhere
 "Where the lizard, teacher Mildred?"
 "..."
 The way she jolly and happy
 I sure the lizard must be tickling she!
 "Outside and play!"
 That is all the teacher say
 Well, all the children so amazed
 At the teacher's peculiar ways
 Eh-eh, she must be goin' mad
 She used to be bad
 But instead of beating she give recess
 With the lizard under she dress
 Hey, the lizard run up she foot and it disappear
 Everybody still searching everywhere
 "Where the lizard, teacher Mildred?"
 "..."
 The way she jolly and happy
 I sure the lizard must be tickling she!
 Well, the children start to fret
 How the teacher take they pet
 Well, little Ruthie jump and shout
 "Suppose it stick some way and can't come out?
 Oh Lord, teacher Mildred, don't kill meh lizard!"
 But the teacher tell she to shut up she mouth
 "What is that you're talking 'bout?"
 The lizard run up she foot and it disappear
 Everybody still searching everywhere
 "Where the lizard, teacher Mildred?"
 "..."
 The way she jolly and happy
 I sure the lizard must be tickling she!
 Well, the class start to yell
 When she get up to ring the bell
 The lizard fall off from she dress
 And the teacher now get speechless
 "Aha! Teacher Mildred, this is meh lizard!"
 But before little Ruthie done complain
 The lizard run up again
 Hey, the lizard run up she foot and it disappear
 Everybody still searching everywhere
