Her Daddy was a preacher man
 Use to smile when he prayed
 And he'd hold them in his arms and whisper
 "Bless this child today"
 Now she works in the city
 Tired arms and bleeding hands
 Money's so hard to come by
 But she does what she can
 He moved out not too long ago
 Said she was cold to the touch
 She gave her body to this one
 But she didn't love him too much
