It was Ashley's twenty-ninth birthday
 And two-for-ones on Thursday
 I didn't even feel like going
 I just felt like I should show up there
 I hated every song coming out of that jukebox
 Took half an hour to get a drink
 And when I finally got a cold one
 Someone tapped me on the shoulder
 And said "alright everybody get together"
 I wasn't even that drunk
 I wasn't really having that much fun
 Somebody said "smile" and that's just what you do
 I had my arm around her
 But I was thinking about you
 Just because you saw it
 Don't mean you got the picture
 You never liked her much I know
 I remember us fighting about an inside joke
 Thought you were being crazy
 But she's been showing up a lot lately
 And I hate thinking about what you're probably thinking
 I wasn't even that drunk
