long ago
 for a second we felt there was spring in our lives
 even time was slow
 winter came
 and the ice did not melt nor the fortress would hold
 we were razed to the ground
 we held the secret
 to our wildest bit of dreaming
 in a safe we left it all, oblivion began
 and now, all the signs inverted
 olden days deserted
 we will have to find ourselves a new reliance
