He Said

when I was just a young boy
 I loved to play with my toys
 and sit around and watch tv
 sometimes we'd go to the beach
 I loved to go to the beach
 until an old man came to me
 I said hey mister, why do you look so blue
 he said it's nothing you just
 look like someone I once new
 I said oh really as I looked into his eyes
 right then and there I knew this man would tell no lies
 he said
 I am a man of glory, I've got a million stories
 if you would just listen to me
 I've sailed across this ocean, given so much devotion
 but just one thing has stayed with me, come here and see
 we'd find a park with flowers
 we'd sit and talk for hours
 he taught me ancient history
