Only A Sailor Knows

Palm trees bending sets are heavy
 Over dams and over levys, God You sent a letter
 For some it breeds anticipation, talk of burning in vacation
 Wise guys read the weather
 The Good Book maps a big returning
 Fire burns and our heart's are yearning
 Deeper than the ocean
 "surfs up!" cries the sinking swimmers
 Clouds move in and the light grows dimmer
 Put Psalms in our devotion
 A good sailor knows which way the wind blows
 The Word is heard the earth is shaking
 Troubles stirred and the waves are breaking
 Over every nation
 But we never wait sons and daughters
 Jesus walked upon the water with faith as a vocation
 So we know just where we're heading
 The maps and compass point to heaven
 No time for indecision
 The waters deep and the wind it wails
 Batton down the hatches and set the sails
 We've got the right provision
 In the meantime we'll be fishers of men
 And our love line we'll find then we'll gently reel them in
