Ballad of Night

Sometimes in the evening late,
 I drift between unconsciousness and fate;
 and when a breath redefines my aim
 I come around again.
 How deep does the time suspend?
 A pendent hangs displaying what it may;
 and when a voice or a force transcends
 I come around again.
 Sometimes under stars domain,
 a silhouette of drunks are on the stage;
 they perform with unbridled shame
 and come around again.
 And sometimes I sit around and wait,
 and piece together innocence and faith;
 and then I find that the winds have changed
 for the suns ascent.

 stuck in my mind.
