Ghost Story

Falling backwards into a time,
 Repeating memories
 Of an empty wasteland, filled with lost
 souls
 A place where there's no where to go
 Seeing through a burned out sun,
 Night veils over it's rotting sheep
 Looking for a sign of life,
 No one's alive to wake from their sleep
 Poisoned, and now delusioned
 Defeated by their addictions.
 Corpses rise from the dead
 In search of salvation
 Abandonment, and total loss
 There's nothing left to regain
 Cast in depths of the shadows
 Never to see the light again... go...
 Breaking... my way... through this
 horrid place
 I try my best to get myself out of here
 Tearing... away... through this dead
 end path
 I'm so close, but still far from reach

 Streetlights flicker, as they go out
