Desensitised

We used to know a place, where we were shielded from disgrace
 In a World which made decisions away from the media but that's all gone
 Yes that's all gone
 So now we are all free, no longer hidden by the vale
 We can touch the pain of war or fear an inner city crime

 And how differently they'll grow, when we leave them like this
 When all information's there, and we leave them like this
 And maybe it becomes undone, when we leave them like this
 Or maybe it makes them strong, when we leave them like this
 And all these scenes of destruction uploaded for free
 Available for everyone to see
 So, what will it be?
 Do we want to show them all our cruelty now or wait 'til they're ready?
 And do we feel safe with the knowledge that they already know exactly how bad it can be?
 We watch the explosions, but they don't even leave a mark
 'Cuz we are desensitised
