Where We Used to Go

As I walk through town to the familiar sounds
 These thoughts get a hold of me
 If time's an adventure, that we get to ride
 I'd like to explore some of my memories
 So, I'll take a trip down memory lane
 More buildings are empty
 Some are boarded up
 Places we used to know
 Their purpose has changed now
 Some have been knocked down
 Where we used to go
 I approach where the brick desert used to be
 Remains of an old factory site
 Now it is houses and shops have been built
 So, we can all fit in this town
 So, I'll take a trip down memory lane

 When our every penny went down drinking holes
 The stars were not too dark for me
 Yet it seems the world only needs trendy bars
 So, a reset has been agreed
