 Silently we pray to our new god
 the diamond-studded lord of profit
 businessman are idols we admire
 money lights our fire
 conceited we sit in our red leather chair
 thinking ahead but not thinking too far!
 cosily enclosed in our garden of delight
 no time to think of other folks plights.

 Man and woman leave the land and make their way to cities
 hoping for an end to thei miseries
 Delhi, Sao Paulo, Shangai, Mexico City
 open up their gutters to the human stream
 bursting their seams with people's dreams
 day dreams of better life or just a bowl of rice
 favelas of the world sucking children to their breasts
 even rats make better nests
 feel the bitter sweet taste of reality
 in the forgotten realms of humanity
 I can't keep up the pace of the race
 can't find my space in this place
 I really feel (now) there's no time to waste!
