Strange Orbits

Used to be we had it all, inseparable.
 We traveled everywhere together.
 But now that we have grown apart
 we've been blown apart.
 Unraveling, we're less than stellar.
 But there's a bitter path to break the pattern.
 Better a tragic void than trajectories we can avoid.
 Now, we're traveling in these strange orbits,
 looking for the space when it's really gonna take some time.

 I can't believe your halo glow that filled my room
 could leave me so hollow, doomed, and empty.

 or be burned up upon re-entry.
