Peter and John

I'd like to take you mighty back
 To the third chapter in the Book of Acts
 Two men were walking along one day
 Came to a gate where a lame man laid
 The man looked at Peter and John
 Bibles said, to give some alms
 Peter said look upon us
 Silver and Gold have I none
 But I do, know someone
 And when I call his name
 You will no longer be lame
 Peter took the man by his right hand
 Called on Jesus and gave his command
 Rise up
 Rise up and walk
 You've been blessed by the Savior this day
 The bible goes on to say
 People were amazed that day
 We did not cure this man by ourselves
 But it was Christ that you put to death
 This man called Jesus Christ
 Can give you eternal life
 If you would only talk to the Lord
 You might even make the lame walk
 Then one day, you can surely say
 Rise up
 Rise up and walk
 You've been blessed by the Savior this day
