Inside Sanity

Today I stared through the window
 My eyes met their reflection
 Thoughts like falling leaves
 Thoughts like pouring rain
 Of all my thoughts I had imagined
 Of all the ones I was so sure
 My ideas so bright and pure
 I left out the ones that were true
 Of all my feelings I could access
 Of all my emotions I could reach
 All my words of wisdom
 The ones I was able to preach
 I need to know if all these thoughts and feelings
 Reflect my true and deepest wishes
 I'm looking for answer
 Among these troubled thoughts
 I need to clear my mind
 From fear disguised as truth
 Of all my thoughtsI had imagined
 Of all the ones I was so sure
 My ideas so bright and pure
