The Hourglass

All shall perish
 In this valley of existence
 Between two perilous mountains
 Fate and freewill
 We are all lost souls in this valley
 Etched from the cliffs of time
 Down we fall from one side or another
 Reduced to sand
 In a stream of tears
 The fall of man
 This tragic play never ends
 This audience of fools
 The earth crumbling down
 And all that remains
 Desolation to be reborn
 We find our futile lives
 Trapped in this cylindrical tomb
 Buried in the past
 The bottom of the hourglass
