The Shore

Time will always be a bore.
 I always run for more
 when things begin to settle for me.
 But I've become too old for quoting Nietzsche.
 But I'm not a modern man
 So I wryly return to the sea.
 A cliché metaphor:
 We're standing on the shore or on a harbor
 and we're watching the waves.
 And we're safe on the wharf
 when we're unsafe upon the waters.
 When the moon is half and hiding
 and intentions are colliding.
 We'll be safe on the harbor
 when we're unsafe upon the waters.
 When the stars are all colliding
 and the oceans are colliding
 we'll be safe on the shores of our love.

 It's always been a curse
 when you have to make some progress or change.
 But I've seen many ways to end relations.
