Salt-Water

Salt water surrounded me all my life
 from way back in time
 I smelled the water with my throat dry
 The ocean sped by
 Was you could drown in it's solution
 on the ocean floor
 The chance to have that thirst and never hide
 Cause it takes a hold, and it goes down through the bloodline
 and it tracks so bold,
 Couldn't tell the truth from the lie
 To the sons and daughters, were they left deaf, dumb and blind
 Do they take so bold, do they dine in white cooling wine
 It's not surprising that it goes so
 we cut off our nose
 In a state of bragadocia
 but if you think that's a joke
 You might get caught up in that motion
 Cause it looks benign
 But if you're desperate it's holy wine
 Cause it takes a hold, and it goes down through the bloodline
 and it tracks so bold,
 Couldn't tell the truth from the lie

 when I hit that role, I know the truth from the lie
