The Trial

I am a defender of the innocent
 And I will try my hardest to set them free
 Now I say, say there do you recognize this man?
 Can't you see that he's been wrongfully condemned?
 Will you take mercy and send him on back home?
 Or will you send him to a lock away to rot there all alone?
 So pick up the gavel and lay it down
 Show me the rulings your peers have found

 Listen to your minds and listen to your hearts
 Can't see that his life's torn apart?

 Now they can't take your rights away
 And they make the rules you have to obey
 So please behave and don't step out of line
 It's this image here that keeps you from doing time

 But it's not just who's right, but how you play the game
