I've been waiting for a triumphant return
 But now I'm realizing the bridges that I've burned
 Pretentious monologues and lack of all concern
 For anyone besides myself, the introvert
 I know that I tend to be selfish, sometimes
 But you are so fine I think I'm changing my mind
 It's been awhile since someone's made me smile
 So if you're inclined, I could live by your side
 But I know I get caught up in narratives
 That I craft when my reality's looking negative
 I didn't mean to come off distant or rude
 I was just intimidated by you
 Your strong opinions and your stick and poke tattoos
 And empathetic heart cuz empathy is cool
