 மறவாமல் மாதவன் நாமம் அதை துதிசெய்
 மண்ணை உண்ட வாயால்
 விண்ணளந்த மாயன்
 ராதை மணாளன்
 கோதை நாயகனே
 காரண(?) நாமம் கார்வண்ணன் நாமம்
 அமுதினும் இனிய அறங்கள்(?) நாமம்

 Translation (literal - non-poetic):
 Oh mind, chant the name of Madhava daily without forgetting
 The enchanter who scaled the world with his feet and with a
 mouth that ate dirt (reference to Vamana and Krishna avatar)

 Reason for the name(?) is the dark coloured person (Krishna)'s name
 Dharmic(?) name that is sweeter than
 nectar is God Aaravamudhan's (Vishnu) name.
 Note: Aaraamudhan name itself literally means "nectar which
 doesn't run out". It is a Tamil literary reference to Vishnu.
