I'm Sorry God

I thought I knew where I should be, and couldn't let it go
 But that part inside of me was too afraid to show
 The way it went is what I got, its all for what I fought
 It wasn't real but now I know, I got everything I sought
 I looked above and saw, I was over my head
 No one said this would be easy
 Not a sign turns out just as it's read
 And now the ice has thawed, I'm Sorry God
 (At least I know I'm not flawed, I'm Sorry God)
 I walked the straight and narrow road but it kept winding
 A spool of tape that came undone was stuck onto the ground
 The dirt and filth on my clothes will never wash out
 Soap and water burn my tongue as the truth just spills out
 Paper towel roll wipes the stain turning white to brown
 Yummy food on a hungry plate flips a frown upside down
 To give and get all in return as the boomerang comes back
 Duck we must when the swing comes so we can fly away
