Well, I got it from a blue rinse out in the sticks,
 She only drove it once a week, there and back to church,
 There was nothing broken, so I didn't get fixed,
 I had to use it every night for anatomical resarch...
 Well, I didn't tell my mother, I couldn't tell my dad,
 So I hid it in a garage at me best friend's place,
 One day they saw me in it and they both went mad,
 They said I wouldn't know the truth if it stared me in the face...

 Well, things got worse so I ran away from home,
 Said I'd rather die than live like that,
 Well, I drove all night, when the sun hi the chrome,
 I went looking for a job and a one room flat...

 I tried filling shelves and sweeping floors,
 Cleaning out a builder's yoad,
 I tried selling insurance door to door,
 I never knew work so hard,
 As payday crept around each week, my spirits slowly sank,
 When I paid my rent and the parking fines,
 I could only half fill the tank...
 So they cought me one night with my hand in the till,
 I got a month in jail and a three figure fine,
 Well I couldn't stop then and I know I never will,
 As long as steel and ail make an engine whine...
 So, now I'm driving the back roads thorugh the day,
 I only ever stop in the smaller towns,
 Try anything once if I can make it pay,
 Better moving than broken down...
 I've been sleeping in the back with a brand new friend,
 She knows my first name and that's too much,
 Gonna leave her by the road around this bend,
 Some things are better than a human touch...
 Don't blame it on the teachers that I never heard,
