They say life is what you make of it
 So I live every day just like it was a kiss
 It's in the nature of a dream to fall apart
 That's why I wasn't surprised when it did
 There's lots of waiting
 They say get used to it
 So tired of waiting
 I'm through with it
 I saw a sign that said
 You have everything that you need
 I guess I just don't know what to do with it
 They say you have to keep believing
 They say you can't quit
 I say who are you
 and why are you
 Telling me how to do it
 It's all adding on to my mounting disappointment
 You were the one thing left that was helping me avoid this
 But if this is the new way
 Then why should I complain
 Head first into the fray
 Throw myself in the way of the next moving train
 As long as I can think
 I'll never obey
 And I've still got your knife
 No they can't take that away from me
