Reverence

A golden glow of amber dispersing
 Drifting in to the night
 Reaching beyond my sight
 A vision found in solitude
 The moment I left behind
 The answers I tried to find
 I sat beneath the willow
 Reposed within its shade
 A cool and wistful breeze
 Above the branches swayed
 This river ever flowing
 The banks will never breach
 For now I'll keep my focus
 On that within my reach
 Through deep deliberation I've finally come to know
 The price of all my failures, the cost of letting go
 Under the flowing branches, far from the fading lights
 I shut my eyes and leave the world I knew behind
