The Idiot

On my great Hungarian word of honor
 I swear I won't touch another beer
 towing my accordion
 I quit the sanatorium
 I go into the himmel bar on the first corner
 I order a beer
 I say hello to Eva
 she's with two ugly men
 I get a very bad welcome back from them
 with my neighbor mister Shiesse
 and Eva who has come to be my wife
 we flee berlin and fly to Wisconsin
 where Shiesse's nephew Clayton helps us forge a better life
 I become a car technician
 with Clayton at the engine
 no one speaks German
 but I'm pretty sure we can't afford
 this mobile home and color television
 Eva returns to prostitution
 and our house is sold at auction
 then Shiesse goes to prison
 I steal a frozen chicken
 and a pick up truck and drive away
 that's the end
