Rooftops at Sunset

You were getting pretty anxious
 I was sleeping in my basement
 You were looking for a nice view
 Just some type of an escape route
 So we drove to Arizona
 But only got to Oklahoma
 I was ready for the long drive
 You only packed your bag for one night
 You only wanted those rooftops at sunset
 A nice dinner and cherry wine
 You only loved me when I was at my best
 I wanted you all the time
 When I saw you out at Meg's place
 I didn't think you'd still know my name
 I was going on about some ideals
 You heard every single detail
 Then you took me back to your place
 We resurrected when the night came
 It was skin and bare bones baby
 But that's the only thing that I'll know
