Despite how many times I struggle
 I will put the time in this hustle
 Praying to the Lord to stay humble
 Still I'm always ready to rumble

 My whole life, this is exactly what I trained for
 Those cold nights, when the snow and the rain poured
 Pushing through the mud, going against the grain more
 It all started with a black pen and notebook
 Writing daily when I saw what being the goat took
 I penned the hottest sixteens and then wrote hooks
 Created my own recipe, now everything home cooked
 Feeding the masses like five loaves and two fish
 Everyone around me eats, serve yourself a new dish
 For every twelve dudes, there has to be a Judas
 I had to be lied to to find out what the truth is
 It's all good though, God got it in control
 Ready to take back what my enemies stole
 So I put the time in, grinding, rising
 Smiling as I know these wings were made for flying

 Everything in my life has a purpose
 Some lessons had to be taught the hard way so I could learn it
 The seed placed in me had to be nourished
 To be brought to the surface, buried in dirt so I could flourish
 Mommy always knew I was meant to be a leader
 Daddy always knew I was meant to be a speaker
 I had always known I was meant to be a dreamer
 Jesus always knew I was meant to be a healer
 So I took it upon myself to write bars which help
 Lift up anybody who is poor in health
 Whether it be physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally
 Music therapy for all globally
