Breathing Light

The air that sits in your lungs
 in your empty space
 It fills you up and you conduct
 electricity
 Oh, the muscles and tendons and water
 move currents
 and they carry you back to me
 You've been reading every book on positivity
 Half the point of all of this getting what you need
 I don't want to hear about the possibility
 The fluctuations in your body keep you neck straight
 and your posture upright. Your lungs fill up.
 And they keep you walking straight in the night or in the day
 and your measurements can't be off
 You've been seeing everything in blue and green and red
 Half the point of coming home is knowing what you had
 I don't want to be the one to say that this is it
 You can feel it now if you breathe in
 You have no idea what it's doing to you
 You will find you can't control your
 pulse or where your eyes are moving
