You Can’t Know Everything

They say that You know everything of me
 Every word before I even start to speak
 My rising in the morning and my laying down to sleep
 I'm sorry but that's too hard to believe
 'Cause if You could see my heart
 You wouldn't save my soul
 If You could read my mind
 You'd keep me from Your fold
 If You had known my thoughts
 You wouldn't have thought of me
 When You were on that cross
 You can't know everything
 And I know that it is wrong for me to doubt
 It's blasphemy for me to call You out
 So if You heard these poison words that pour out of my mouth
 It's obvious that You would strike me down
 'Cause if You could see my heart
 You wouldn't save my soul
 If You could read my mind
 You'd keep me from Your fold
 If You had known my thoughts
 You wouldn't have thought of me
 When You were on that cross
 You can't know everything
 But You know! Yes, You know!
 For the Bible tells me so!
 But how could You know
 And You not release Your bow
 On a man from the dirt
 That defied Your every word?
 Your grace is something I could never earn
 But since You can see my heart
 Why did You save my soul?
 Since You can read my mind
 Why am I in Your fold?
 Since You had known my thoughts
 Why did You think of me
 When You were on that cross?
 Why would You die for me?
