Over the plate of the same
 Dinner was made yesterday
 The river falls down the face
 Again and probably in vain
 Oh so gravity of mind
 Will be company tonight
 Will make the meaning of tonight
 The stomach fills without thought
 No one is where was left off
 Too predictable for hope
 A hundredth birth as a ghost
 So shadow, spiral, and I
 Will be company tonight

 Is possible but is rare
 Shake it off out of the hair
 Color the face and the clothes
 Watch the stories of heroes
 A truer friend writes to me
 Life is never not crazy
 The ones who realize can see
 And continue on I do
 Until the mirage of you

 Into a loosening screw
 Or even only a worm
 Who with even all its work
 Is long out too far from the dirt
 Over the what have I done

 Suppose it time to concede
 To one last look at the moon
 With shadow more me than me
