Alone in the darkeness you're wandering
 Is Jesus still listening to me
 Is He truly aware of my suffering
 And is this the way it always will be
 My friend I know the answer to your question
 But don't trust my opinion alone
 You should ask the host of others
 Sisters and brothers who've been there and there stories live on

 Not wanting to walk one more mile

 Hiding tears behind every smile
 But then I draw strength from those pilgrams
 The ones who were the first to believe
 When their faith reached out to touch Him
 His arms reached back to help them
 And He's able to do the same for you and me
