At Least I'm Not A Musician

I set my radio alarm for six-thirty sharp
 Took a shower and shave while the sky was still dark
 Got a ride from my neighbour cause the car wouldn't start
 And when we got downtown you know there's no place to park
 I am sitting at my desk by a quarter past nine
 Got a talkin' from my boss because I wasn't on time
 He's half my age and his suit is more expensive than mine
 At this rate I'll make a partner by the time that I die
 But at least I'm not a musician

 You know I tried to be an artist
 Though I kept things pretty low-key
 Once I drew a pair of hands
 But they came to life and choked me
 So I battled off the hands
 I sketched a flaming sword
 But the thing went limp and flaccid
 And my audience got bored
 They said "At least you don't design poster
 For local indie rock thugs
 And have to deal with shady promoters
 Who only want to pay you with drugs"
