The Redemptive End

I see a pale moon rise into the nightly sky
 pure rays breaking through thick fog embrace my tired eyes
 I will awake the blood
 This lunar sighting sends a shiver down my spine
 I will cleanse this world as moon and earth align
 When I finally turn on my own
 Blood moon – shining in the sky
 Blood moon – wolves howling in disguise
 Blood moon – shining in the sky
 Blood moon
 And as the pale moon shines over numbed heads
 Determinedly trotting forward, straight into collapse
