Father of Science

When I was younger I stared into the thunder
 What I noticed that what I saw was just a star to someone
 I started thinking of those nights when I could see so many suns
 Solar System
 No one is as dumb as masses joined as one
 With nothing but science fiction and God to back them up
 I started hoping for some truth, that I might find for someone
 I've done my part to help in understanding
 Each and everyone of us knows something
 Shadows in the sun lengthening as we spin 'round
 From the time that I was born I searched the sky for answers
 I want only to enhance my brother's tenure by relaying what I find in this
 solar system
 What I need is just a motive so I won't come undone
