Glittering Darkness

All is dark and quiet
 Underneath a starry sky
 Weatherbeaten cliffs
 Leave a mark for us to see
 Miracles of moss
 Centuries of stories
 Many more appearing with the waves
 Then they go into the dark
 How do you cope in the night
 Trying to gain my trust
 Can you breathe through those lips
 That deceive me
 Washing your mouth with soap
 Won't save you
 I believed in you
 Glittering darkness
 Night sky
 Beautiful birds
 Waiting to be seen
 Shimmering silence
 Earthly walls
 Peaceful turtles
 Making their way
 Back home
 How can you feel me now
 When you seem OK
 But your thoughts they drown
 You and heave to the bottom
 Of all our time here together
 Leave a void of life
 I believed in you
 Fly
