A Shepherd In Search Of A Lamb

Out in the darkness... a hillside so steep,
 The Shepherd so lovingly watches His sheep.
 Standing His guard, He's troubled to find
 Instead of one hundred, there's ninety and nine.
 So over the mountains and valleys He climbs;
 Aware of the dangers, but determined to find
 The one He is seeking with all of His might
 Wayfaring lamb who is lost in the night.
